Where do I start?The game has no real level design, it feels very slapped together. The enemies are all very basic and uninteresting. The difficulty is way too high. The deaths feel hopeless like no amount of skill could stop them, the game kills you because it can. All visual queues are far too short or too small to see. I play on a desktop 21.5" monitor and I can't see anything. Last but not least THIS GAME HAS NO REAL MULTIPLAYER and should not be marketed as such. I bought this game to play with someone, not watch them die a lot via in game video.. Saw HyperRPG stream this on twitch and the art style immidiately caught my attention. Seems more polished than most early access titles but still a little rough around the edges. Keyboard/Mouse controls needs more tuning.. One of those games where you die a lot, and then get a little better, and then die a lot. But this one with a happy peppy look and an arcadeish feel.. Too bad, that the game is only playable with an internet connection.... Pointless game. Got it free and I still want my money back.. There must have been some serious updates since Jan looking at those reviews D:Love the graphic style, Love the challange, bosses are really tough but they are progressional so you can keep wailing on them death after death and eventually beat the snot out (and the shiny purple chest) of them! THE MUSIC!? Extreamly good ( Found myself hmming along to all the grooves )! So keep up the great work guys! From what I see so far this game has alot of really fun mechanics and is super chill to play!. I'm not the best at real-time strategies, but I'll give Next Up Hero props for bringing unique ideas to the table. The only other game I've played where players have to "work" together to solve the game is The Isle and I've had mixed experiences with that one. Here, players are rewarded by dying and the death of one hero will boost the next. Combine this with the Ventures changing from running around in the dark to boulders falling from the sky, I guarantee you're not going to get bored. The story isn't to in-depth from what I've seen, but I didn't go in expecting to have a life changing experience. The only thing for me is I never had the chance to act as a "guardian angel" which is where you take over the Echo (what the dead heroes are referred to) so you're able to heal another character. I do wish there was an option to just randomly help another player without having to wait for them to raise your Echo. It brings some new ideas to the fore - creating new levels for other players, using the "echos" of past players to your advantage, etc..
